Funerary Monument to Sir John Hawkwood
A fresco pretending to be a bronze statue: Paolo Uccello painted the English condottiere John Hawkwood on a fictive plinth, because a real statue cost too much. The perspectives of horse and plinth do not agree, on purpose.
