Your privacy is fundamental to us. On this page we explain simply and transparently what data we collect on Locaria and how we protect it.
1Data we collect
When you use Locaria, we may collect the following types of data:
- Registration info:Email address and password (encrypted).
- Personal information:Name, surname, optional biography or profile picture if voluntarily provided.
- Location data:GPS position, collected only with your explicit consent for map use.
- In-app activity:Saved places (wishlist), visited places, visit dates and ratings (stars).
- Technical data:Technical cookies and Local Storage needed to keep your login session active.
2How we use the data
Collected data has the following purposes:
Service delivery
Manage your account, allow sign-in and synchronize your diary across devices.
Personalization
Show your position on the map and let you save routes and favorite stops.
Security
Prevent unauthorized access and ensure platform stability.
3. Sharing
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or profiling purposes. Your data is processed exclusively by technical providers (data processors) necessary for the app to work: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Vercel (site hosting), Sentry (error monitoring, with personal data disabled) and Resend (transactional email delivery). These providers store data on servers in the European Union or, where applicable, under adequate protection safeguards.
4. Location consent
Locaria asks for GPS access only when necessary. You can revoke this permission anytime from your browser or device settings.
9GPX file management
GPX files and related tracking data uploaded to Locaria are considered technical data necessary for the route planning function.
- •Tracks uploaded as "Private" are visible only to the user who uploaded them.
- •Deleting an route from your diary will permanently remove from the database all related geographic data and tracks.
