A hundred metres of alley in La Boca, where dockworkers from Genoa painted their corrugated-iron houses with leftover ship's paint — hence yellow beside blue beside red, all at once. It is now an open-air museum of painting stalls and couples dancing tango on the tarmac. Come early, before the crowd arrives.
