Some twelve hundred near-identical conical hills, thirty to a hundred and twenty metres high, spread across fifty square kilometres in the middle of Bohol. They are coral limestone shaped by rain over thousands of years. The name comes from the dry season, when the grass covering them browns off all at once: from the Carmen viewpoint it looks like a tray of chocolates tipped over the plain.
