๐History & Curiosities
Begun in 1248 and finished in 1880: six hundred and thirty years, with the site abandoned for three hundred of them. The twin towers of a hundred and fifty-seven metres were the tallest building in the world for four years. In the choir stands the Shrine of the Three Kings, the largest gold sarcophagus in the West: it was to house that the cathedral was built so large.
