Two hundred and fifty kilometres of hand-dug tunnels on three levels, where Viet Cong fighters lived, cooked, operated on the wounded and moved beneath American bases. The hatches are twenty by thirty centimetres and the original passages can only be crawled; a stretch has been widened for visitors. Above ground the B-52 craters remain, along with the bamboo traps, displayed without commentary.
