North America's highest peak, 6,190 metres rising almost straight out of the tundra — measured from its own base it towers higher than Everest. The name is the Athabaskan one, 'the tall one'. It shows itself perhaps one day in three, when the cloud lifts, and the park road is the only way to get near it, past caribou, grizzlies and moose.
