Emir Kusturica put up this village of timber houses on Mećavnik hill as a film set and then refused to take it down. Streets are named after directors and writers, there is a church, a cinema and a pastry shop, and every January it hosts the Küstendorf festival. Below runs the narrow-gauge Šargan Eight railway.
