📖History & Curiosities
The oldest of the three towers along the crest of Monte Titano, built in the 11th century on the most exposed point of the ridge and used for centuries as a prison. You pass through a double ring of walls, climb to the wall walk and find a sheer drop on one side and the Adriatic on the other. This is the tower on the republic's flag and coins, and the one with the best view of the three.
