Two hundred and forty kilometres of road built with picks and shovels by Great War veterans between 1919 and 1932, as a memorial to the fallen and as work for the returning: it is the longest war memorial on earth. It hugs the cliff past surf beaches, eucalypt forest with koalas in the branches, and the stacks of Port Campbell. Give it two days, not one.
