The Shire set, built on a Waikato sheep farm and — uniquely — never dismantled: forty-four round doors set into the hillside, real vegetable gardens, laundry on the line, and the Green Dragon pouring a beer brewed for the purpose. A gardener trims the hedges year-round to keep everything in scale. Access is by guided shuttle from the visitor centre only.
