The largest park in the Canadian Rockies, wilder and far less crowded than Banff. The Columbia Icefield feeds six glaciers and snowcoaches run out onto the Athabasca; Maligne Canyon is a slot fifty metres deep and a few paces wide. It is also one of the world's largest dark-sky preserves โ people come in winter for the aurora.
