📖History & Curiosities
A lake left behind by the retreat of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, where house-sized blocks of blue ice drift slowly seaward. A few hundred metres on, the surf pushes them back onto Diamond Beach to melt on black sand. Seals ride the current in and out of the lagoon.
