Slovenia's largest natural lake sits inside Triglav National Park, with no lakeside hotels and no traffic: just cold water, the stone bridge at Ribčev Laz and the church of St John the Baptist with its Gothic frescoes. From the head of the valley a path climbs to the Savica waterfall, bursting out of the cliff seventy metres up.
