A twin-peaked dormant volcano of 5,642 metres, the highest mountain in the Caucasus and in Europe. A cable car and a chairlift reach 3,800 metres, making it the most accessible of the seven continental summits; above that it is glacier, dry cold and a view stretching from the Black Sea to the Caspian. It is not technical, yet its storms kill more climbers than Everest.
