Luxembourg's Little Switzerland is a sandstone plateau split by narrow, deep clefts, where paths thread between twenty-metre walls furred with moss and ferns, drop down stairways cut into the rock and open suddenly onto clearings. The Mullerthal Trail links the best of it, from the Schiessentümpel waterfall to the boulder maze above Berdorf. The ground stays damp and slick — wear proper shoes.
