Opened in 1843, one of the oldest amusement parks still running, and nothing like a modern one: manicured gardens, a Chinese pantomime theatre, thousands of lanterns lit at dusk, and a 1914 wooden coaster with a brakeman still riding along. Walt Disney visited, took notes and went home. In December it becomes a Christmas market.
