Pale sand and palms between two green headlands, with the peninsula hills running straight down to the water: Tokeh is the most photographed beach near Freetown and the natural end of the coast road. Fishermen haul nets here in the morning on a stretch that is close to empty by afternoon. The capital is an hour up the road.
