Limestone stacks up to fifty metres tall, cut off from the cliff by a Southern Ocean that eats two centimetres a year: there were nine when they got the name, seven are left, and now and then another goes. You view them from boardwalks along the clifftop, best at dawn or dusk when the stone turns orange. Below, the beach is unreachable and constantly hammered by surf.
