The masterpiece of the Puuc style, its facades worked in stone mosaic and crowded with masks of the rain god Chac. The Pyramid of the Magician has rounded sides, a shape almost unique in the Maya world, and the Nunnery Quadrangle encloses four palaces around a courtyard. Far quieter than Chichén Itzá, and to many eyes finer.
