The largest museum of applied arts in the world: furniture, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, fashion, ironwork โ five million objects along eleven kilometres of galleries. It was founded on the profits of the Great Exhibition of 1851 to teach good design to British craftsmen, and that teaching purpose still shows in how it is arranged.
