The hill behind Central, five hundred metres above the harbour: from up here the towers stack into one another, with Kowloon opposite and green ridges behind. The Peak Tram, a funicular running since 1888, climbs so steeply that the buildings look tilted through the window. The level loop along Lugard Road has the best view and costs nothing.
