Hagia Sophia calligraphic roundels

Eight wooden discs seven and a half metres across, painted in the nineteenth century with the names of Allah, Muhammad and the first caliphs: the largest calligraphic panels in the Islamic world. Taken down in 1935 and put back in 1949.
