Sfogliatella
A shell-shaped Neapolitan pastry, made with puff or short pastry ("riccia" or "frolla") and filled with ricotta, semolina, candied fruit and cinnamon. Born in the 17th century in the Santa Rosa convent on the Amalfi coast, it later spread to Naples thanks to the pastry chef Pintauro.
